Traffic Alert for passengers and their companions - 27 September 2009
Visit of Pope Benedict XVI.

On 27 September the Holy Mass with Pope Benedict XVI. will take place at Brno-Turany Airport site.

In connection with this event the access roads Ripska and Evropska will be closed on 27 September from 4:00 a.m. till 6:00 p.m. Alternate access road for passengers and their companions, taxi and public transport will be arranged from Turanka street (see attached map).

We also draw attention to D1 highway closure between EXIT196 and EXIT203. Therefore the EXIT 201 cannot be used for arrival to the airport during above mentioned period.

Passengers and their companions, taxi and public transport will be allowed to access airport terminals and airport parking areas as usual.

Alternate access road will be sufficiently marked and controlled by Police and organizers.

We kindly ask passengers and their companions to take into account possible traffic limitations and approximately 40 to 60 minutes delay on their way to the airport.

During days before and after this event timetable and access to the airport will not be affected and everything will proceed as usual.
